We are looking for a fully remote high energy, self-motivated individual to become a full-time member of our accounting team. We have a fast paced working environment where our employees work hard but have fun. The Accounting Manager will report to the VP of Finance and will be responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting and consolidation functions of a high growth company with multiple subsidiaries (domestic and foreign).

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries of payroll, accruals, prepaid amortizations and fixed asset depreciation.
  • Spearhead monthly billing processes to ensure accurate revenue recognition, proper statement of Deferred Revenue, and coordinate with Departments as needed to avoid lapses in Contracts.
  • Preparation of financials – both unconsolidated and consolidated for all legal entities.
  • Prepare monthly variance explanations for all legal entities – m/m and m/budget.
  • Invoice intercompany services and costs.
  • Review sales tax laws regularly to ensure company compliance with all State requirements.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany payables/receivables insuring intercompany accounts are settled on a regular basis.
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and bank statements for all companies.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information, from payroll to due diligence work of possible acquisition targets.
  • Understand business transactions from soup to nuts. Resolving issues that arise from systems or broken processes.
  • Main liaison for external auditors and tax consultants in year-end financial audit as well as auditors during periodic bank audits.
  • Serve as backup for all accounting ops during peak periods.
  • Assist with yearly budget preparation.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA, required.
  • 5 -7 years’ experience in a similar work capacity or 3 years’ experience in public accounting highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of foreign subsidiaries is preferred but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detailed oriented, team-player, highly organized, and understand that some overtime is required in peak periods.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to prioritize tasks according to Operations plan. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
