The Director of Sales Mid-Market has a proven track record of building and leading teams with success in generating new sales through outbound calling, leveraging marketing campaigns and follow-up on inbound leads in the mid-market segment. An experienced sales professional that exhibits a high level of leadership in both inspiring their team while also delivering consistent high results. The Director of Sales Mid-Market is responsible for the following:

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Manager in charge of all sales activities for accounts in segment
  • Develops, or participates with the staff, in the development of the execution plan
  • Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • Establishes performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitors performance on a continual basis
  • Responsible for driving revenue and use learning’s from that experience to refine sales processes and to build an appropriate team
  • Attract, retain, train, and motivate a diverse sale force
  • Achieve monthly / quarterly / annual business targets
  • Execute against a set of end-to-end sales methodology and process
  • Develops and/or maintains and improves business relations with all customers & partners of the Company
  • Building out a new team of inside sales, manage their day-to-day work and outcomes
  • Developing strong relationships and incremental sales opportunities in new accounts

Technical Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations tailored to the audience needs

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in sales leadership position in IT (ideally within cybersecurity software, SaaS recurring revenue models)
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully leading direct sales, sales development (SDR) and Business Development BDR teams
  • Proven ability to build integrated sales and marketing plans in partnership with marketing and demand generation
  • Ability to manage risks, priorities and expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven capability of developing talent from within the business
  • Ability to work with and gain input and resources from multiple teams and disciplines

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to prioritize tasks according to Operations plan.

This job operates in a professional atmosphere with responsibilities working from home and working from the office as required by management. There are times when you will be required to be alone in the office to perform essential duties.
