Microsoft ActiveSync

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is a synchronization protocol that enables users of mobile devices to access email, calendar, contacts, and tasks from their organization’s Microsoft Exchange server. Netsurion Open XDR utilizes Microsoft Exchange Powershell cmdlets to fetch usage statistics reports from IIS events of Exchange server.
Netsurion Data Source Integration for Microsoft ActiveSync allows you to monitor the following:-
- Operations – User activity with device details, request and response statistics from server
- Security – Hourly sync statistics
- Compliance – Device compliance statistics
Once Microsoft ActiveSync is configured to deliver events to Netsurion Open XDR; reports and dashboards can be configured into Netsurion Open XDR.

| Security | Microsoft ActiveSync – Hourly Sync Statistics | This report helps you to inquire about the number of unique mobile devices that synchronized with your Exchange server within a given hour which includes Day, Hour, Unique Device Count and Sync Request Count fields. |
| Operations | Microsoft ActiveSync-User Activity Statistics | This report lets you analyze Exchange ActiveSync activity on a user-by-user basis which includes User Name, Device Type, Items(Email, Calender, Contacts, Notes, Attachment etc.) Sent and Received fields. |
| Operations | Microsoft ActiveSync-User Agent Statistics | This report generates ActiveSync usage data based on user agent information which includes User Agent Type, Unique Device Count and Hit Count fields. |
| Operations | Microsoft ActiveSync – HTTP Status Statistics | This report enlists HTTP response codes from Exchange server and their respective hit counts. It includes HTTP Status, HTTP Sub-status, Hit Count and Hit Ratio fields. |
