Prism Microsystems continues record revenue into 4th Quarter

Deeper, broader functionality, growing traction as a mid-market leader and award recognition reinforce EventTracker’s advanced SIEM offering

Columbia, MD –Prism Microsystems, developers of EventTracker – the most comprehensive Security Information and Event Log Management (SIEM) solution in the industry, announced record revenue for Q4 2008 with double digit growth and the addition of over 30 new customers. Significant product enhancements resulting in broader IT applicability, award recognition and growing traction as a mid-market leader contributed to Prism’s success over the past year.

Customer momentum

In 2008, Prism Microsystems saw significant demand for EventTracker adding over 100 new customers in the government, healthcare, retail, finance and education industries. New customers included Talbots, Choicepoint, Deloitte, Thompson Reuters, Army, Airforce and Navy bases across North America, a global retail giant, several large hospitals, regional banks and credit unions.

As cost became an important purchase driver, EventTracker won several competitive bake-offs based on its ability, as a software solution, to reside on existing hardware or virtual infrastructures. This also translated into flexibility in providing role-based access to multiple users without customers having to invest in additional boxes as with appliance vendors.

Advanced USB monitoring – Monitor not just USB inserts/removals but also track files written to/deleted from USB devices

Remedial Action – Launch automated remedial action on any remote system to stop a breach in progress

Log Search – Google-like search interface for fast and easy searching across terabytes of data to accelerate troubleshooting
